Question & Answer
What makes a man sinful? Whom can we call we a sinner?

What makes a man sinful? Whom can we call we a sinner and will you explain to me this term? Why did not people like me have time for Allah? What keeps them away from Allah?

Answer:

بسم الله الرحمن الرحيم

We begin with Allah’s blessed name, we praise him and we glorify him, seek his forgiveness and ask him to guide us. Whoever Allah guides, None can lead astray and whoever he misguides, None can guide. There is no power and no strength except from Allah, The most high, the Most great, the most powerful. We bear witness that there is no one worthy of worship but Allah Alone, and we bear witness that Prophet Muhammad (pbuh) is His slave-servant and the seal of His Messengers. We pray for peace and blessings on all the noble messengers and in particular on the last of them all “the blessed prophet Mohammad (pbuh)”

What makes a man sinful? Whom can we call we a sinner and will you explain to me this term?

One becomes sinful if one transgresses any of the limit set by Allah, so anyone transgressing the limit of Allah would be considered a sinner in the sight of Allah.

In order to understand this we take an example of alcohol, drinking of alcohol is prohibited in Islam so alcohol is not something that a Muslim can drink if one gets in the trap on ones desire and drinks alcohol, one would be transgressing the limits of Allah and thus would become a sinner.

Why did not people like me have time for Allah?

It is because people are away from the deen of Allah, the more you are closer to the deen of Allah the more you have time for Allah, the deen teaches you to be obedient to Allah, the deen of Islam is the perfect way of life. In modern times people follow the way of their desire that is why we are ruined in every stage of life.

What keeps them away from Allah?

It is there ignorance of the buitiful deen called Al-islam. It is ignorance about the greatness of allah, it is the ignorance about the hell, it is ignorance about the day of judgement.

“And when My servants ask you, [O Muhammad], concerning Me – indeed I am near. I respond to the invocation of the supplicant when he calls upon Me. So let them respond to Me [by obedience] and believe in Me that they may be [rightly] guided” Quran[2:186].

Be productive, seek knowledge and take action. The more you love Allah , the more you will do to get closer to Him. And Allah alone knows the best.

I ask Allah to make this a sincere effort, seeking his pleasure, and I ask him to grant us refuge in him from the evils within ourselves, and that in our deeds. I ask him to grant us success in achieving whatever pleases him; And May Allah Shower His blessings and mercy upon our beloved Prophet Muhammad (pbuh), his family and his Companions and on all those who follow him until the final hour.
