بسم الله الرحمن الرحيم
We begin with Allah’s blessed name, we praise him and we glorify him, seek his forgiveness and ask him to guide us. Whoever Allah guides, None can lead astray and whoever he misguides, None can guide. There is no power and no strength except from Allah, The most high, the Most great, the most powerful. We bear witness that there is no one worthy of worship but Allah Alone, and we bear witness that Prophet Muhammad (pbuh) is His slave-servant and the seal of His Messengers. We pray for peace and blessings on all the noble messengers and in particular on the last of them all “the blessed prophet Mohammad (pbuh)”
After the end of the era of the Rightly-Guided Caliphs, division and differences in poltical as well as in the thought and ‘aqueeda’ took place, some of the believers separated themselves from the man body of the Muslims and made a new group, whereas, the main body of the Muslims stayed close to the teaching of quran and sunnah and were recognized as ‘ahle sunnah wal jammah’, thus ‘ahle sunnah wal jammah’ are the believers who stay close to the teachings of the Quran and Sunnah, and stay within the Jamaah or Ummah of Muslims without joining any of the breakaway sects.
Allah has commanded the believers to stay united and do not break into sects and creeds.
Allah says in the Glorious Quran: And you all belong to one and the same ummah, and I(Allah) am your Lord; so fear Me Alone! Yet afterwards the people divided themselves into different sects, and each sect rejoicing in what it has. Well, leave them deeply involved in their heedlessness up to an appointed time. Quran [23:52-53]
O you who have believed, do rukooh (bow down) and do sajdah (prostration), and worship your Lord Allah Alone, and do righteous deeds: it may be that you attain true success! Exert your utmost for the cause of Allah, as one should. He has chosen you for His service, and has not laid on you any hardship in your religion. Therefore, be steadfast in the religion of your father Abraham. Allah had named you muslims before this, and has named you (muslims) in this Quran also, so that the Messenger may be a witness in regard to you, and you may be witnesses in regard to the rest of mankind. Quran [22:77-78]
Narrated by Abdullah ibn Amr Allah's Messenger (saws) said: There will befall my Ummah exactly (all those) evils which befell the people of Isra'il, so much so that if there was one amongst them who openly committed fornication with his mother, there will be among my Ummah one who will do that. And if the people of Isra'il were fragmented into seventy-two sects, my Ummah will be fragmented into seventy-three sects. All of them will be in Hell Fire except one sect. They (the Companions) said: O Messenger of Allah (saws) which is that? Whereupon he (saws) said: It is one to which I and my companions belong. Al-Tirmidhi [Hadith 171] And Allah alone knows the best.
I ask Allah to make this a sincere effort, seeking his pleasure, and I ask him to grant us refuge in him from the evils within ourselves, and that in our deeds. I ask him to grant us success in achieving whatever pleases him; And May Allah Shower His blessings and mercy upon our beloved Prophet Muhammad (pbuh), his family and his Companions and on all those who follow him until the final hour.Ask Your Question
