بسم الله الرحمن الرحيم
We begin with Allah’s blessed name, we praise him and we glorify him, seek his forgiveness and ask him to guide us. Whoever Allah guides, None can lead astray and whoever he misguides, None can guide. There is no power and no strength except from Allah, The most high, the Most great, the most powerful. We bear witness that there is no one worthy of worship but Allah Alone, and we bear witness that Prophet Muhammad (pbuh) is His slave-servant and the seal of His Messengers. We pray for peace and blessings on all the noble messengers and in particular on the last of them all “the blessed prophet Mohammad (pbuh)”
Allah says in the glorious Quran: Do not even go near ‘zina’ (fornication or adultery) for it is a very indecent thing and a very evil way! Quran[17:32]
The commandment in above verse of glorious Quran is meant both for individuals and society as a whole. Not only warns it the individual to stay away from zina, but it also warns the society to maintain such an environment where the individuals are kept safe from this evil and to eradicate any indecency which could lead to the mountainous sin of zina or adultery or fornication.
Dear brother, Allah has forbidden His servants to commit Zina or to approach it or to do anything that may lead to it, and coming near to unlawful sex is a major sin, an evil way, a terrible way to behave.
Narrated by Anas ibn Malik That he heard the Messenger of Allah (saws) say: 'The eye commits 'zina', and the palm of the hand, the foot, the body, the tongue and private part of the body confirm it or deny it.' Abu-Dawood [Book 41 : Hadith 4886]
Narrated by Ibn Abbas I have not seen a thing resembling 'lamam' (minor sins) than what Abu Huraira narrated from the Prophet (saws) who said "Allah has written for the children of Adan their share of adultery which he commits inevitably. The adultery of the eyes is the sight (to gaze at a forbidden thing), the adultery of the tongue is the talk, and the inner self wishes and desires and the private parts testify all this or deny it." Sahih Al-Bukhari [Volume: 8 , Book :74 , Hadith: 260]
Dear brother, indeed your friend is in a terrible situation, and it is absolutely clear from your question that he is striving hard to stay within the prescribed boundaries of the lord. But in such a terrible situation, there are high chances of his resistance from the evil being compromised. The first thing one could do is to try ones best to communicate his concern to his room-mate, and convince him not to do such immoral things in the shared room. if after that the things doesn’t change then, it would be righteousness to make efforts to change the room, where he will be able to protect his religion and will live within the boundaries of Islam.
At times the non believer brings in some ladies for sexual intercourse at night. this guy is not married but just commits adultery. when the friend of mine is sleeping, he at times wake up and find them in their act of sex . he hears and at times observe the way they are doing all the acts. He does not intend to wake and listen or observe but by nature he finds himself waking up observing, and hearing them. But that friend of mine does not want to engage in that act and he hates it so much because it is an act of evil.
Dear brother, you should take this issue with the authorities of the university, and should convey to them that you cannot live in such an enviroment, and if ones effort is sincere then know with absolute conviction that the lord (most high) would absolutely help you.
Dear brother, Allah is well aware of the condition of each of His believing slave, if one strives hard to leave such an ugly enviroment, it is expected that Allah will accept the striving of such righteous believers and reward them from His Unending Bounty and Grace in this world and the Hereafter.
if he hears whatever they are uttering out or sees whatever they are doing, Is he considered to have spyed someone or even to have watched pornography? If he goes out and talks about his roommate of what he does, is he considered to be like someone who eats another's flesh as he does this act without fear?
Dear brother, watching or listening to any fahisha act i.e. indecency, lewdness is absolutely haram in Islam. if one is caught in an environment of fahisha, then one should absolutely on emergency basis exit from such place, because ones ‘deen’ or religion is on the line.
Dear brother, since you are caught in such a fahisha environment, it would not be considered spying on non-Muslim room-mate, and you should not talk about his fahisha acts to others as it may lead to more fahisha activities. you should only tell this to the university administration. And Allah alone knows the best.
I ask Allah to make this a sincere effort, seeking his pleasure, and I ask him to grant us refuge in him from the evils within ourselves, and that in our deeds. I ask him to grant us success in achieving whatever pleases him; And May Allah Shower His blessings and mercy upon our beloved Prophet Muhammad (pbuh), his family and his Companions and on all those who follow him until the final hour.Ask Your Question
