بسم الله الرحمن الرحيم
We begin with Allah’s blessed name, we praise him and we glorify him, seek his forgiveness and ask him to guide us. Whoever Allah guides, None can lead astray and whoever he misguides, None can guide. There is no power and no strength except from Allah, The most high, the Most great, the most powerful. We bear witness that there is no one worthy of worship but Allah Alone, and we bear witness that Prophet Muhammad (pbuh) is His slave-servant and the seal of His Messengers. We pray for peace and blessings on all the noble messengers and in particular on the last of them all “the blessed prophet Mohammad (pbuh)”
Dear brother, one who give amulet (taweezs) or perform magic on others are on the misguidance, for the blessed prophet has said:
It was narrated that Abu Hurairah said: "The Messenger of Allah [SAW] said: 'Whoever ties a knot and blows on it, he has practiced magic; and whoever practices magic, he has committed Shirk; and whoever hangs up something (as an amulet) will be entrusted to it.'" Sunan an-Nasa'i[Vol. 5, Book 37, Hadith 4084]
Uqbah ibn 'Amir narrates that the Messenger of Allah (saws) said: "If anyone wears an amulet (taaweedh), may Allah not help him in fulfilling his wish. If anyone wears a sea-shell around his neck, may Allah give him no peace." Narrated by Ahmad and Al-Hakim.
The practice of magic, which includes the act of separating between a husband and wife by turning his love for her into hatred, or tempting a person to do things he dislikes through devilish arts. Anyone who engages in such acts or is pleased with it is outside the circle of Islam. Allah , the Most High says in the glorious Quran:
And they followed [instead] what the devils had recited during the reign of Solomon. It was not Solomon who disbelieved, but the devils disbelieved, teaching people magic and that which was revealed to the two angels at Babylon, Harut and Marut. But the two angels do not teach anyone unless they say, "We are a trial, so do not disbelieve [by practicing magic]." And [yet] they learn from them that by which they cause separation between a man and his wife. But they do not harm anyone through it except by permission of Allah. And the people learn what harms them and does not benefit them. But the Children of Israel certainly knew that whoever purchased the magic would not have in the Hereafter any share. And wretched is that for which they sold themselves, if they only knew. Quran[2:102]
Thus using amulets and magic is haram in Islam, and one who wears an amulet, believes that it would cure or protect him, and thus gets involved in the mountainous sin of shirk(as one entrusts on it). This is absolutely opposite to what the blessed prophet (pbuh) brought and taught, Islam teaches that, the believers should put their trust in Allah alone.
Allah says in the glorious Quran: If Allah helps you none can overcome you: if He forsakes you who is there after that that can help you? In Allah then let believers put their trust. Quran[3:160]
And put your trust in Allah Alone; and enough is Allah as a Disposer of affairs. Quran [33:3]
Say: "Nothing will happen to us except what Allah has decreed for us: He is our Protector"; and on Allah let the believers put their trust. Quran [9:51] And Allah alone knows the best.
I ask Allah to make this a sincere effort, seeking his pleasure, and I ask him to grant us refuge in him from the evils within ourselves, and that in our deeds. I ask him to grant us success in achieving whatever pleases him; And May Allah Shower His blessings and mercy upon our beloved Prophet Muhammad (pbuh), his family and his Companions and on all those who follow him until the final hour.
