Answer:

بسم الله الرحمن الرحيم

We begin with Allah’s blessed name, we praise him and we glorify him, seek his forgiveness and ask him to guide us. Whoever Allah guides, None can lead astray and whoever he misguides, None can guide. There is no power and no strength except from Allah, The most high, the Most great, the most powerful. We bear witness that there is no one worthy of worship but Allah Alone, and we bear witness that Prophet Muhammad (pbuh) is His slave-servant and the seal of His Messengers. We pray for peace and blessings on all the noble messengers and in particular on the last of them all “the blessed prophet Mohammad (pbuh)”

Obsession is a behavior which represents maladaptive behavior in which an individual is hunted with the persistent recurrence of unwelcome, absurd and disturbing ideas or thoughts. Although one realizes the absurdity and irrelevance of such thoughts, still one is unable to get rid of them, the more one tries to rid oneself of them, the more they persist.

Dear sister, get assured that this behavior is absolutely neither caused by heredity nor biological factor.

Allah Says in the glorious Quran:
Verily the Shaytaan is an enemy to you: so treat him as an enemy. He only invites his adherents that they may become companions of the Blazing Fire! QURAN[35:6]

Narrated 'Ali bin Al-Husain (from Safiya, the Prophet's wife): ..."The Shaytaan circulates in the human being as blood circulates in the body, and I was afraid lest the Shaytaan might insert an evil thought in your minds." SAHIH AL-BUKHARI[Volume: 3, Book :33, Hadith: 254]

Dear sister, know with absolute conviction, that these evil thoughts are inspired by none other than the accursed shaitan, who is using ways to lead mankind astray, as he has pleaded to Allah for that. Whenever one neglects remembering Allah most of the time, then one becomes prone to the attack of the accursed shaitan.

the antidote for the evil thought obsession is:

1) Whenever any evil thought happens to pass through one’s mind, immediately seek refuge with Allah, and bring Allah into remembrance.

Allah says in the glorious quran:
And if an evil whisper comes to you from Shaitan (Satan) then seek refuge with Allah. Verily, He is All-Hearer, All-Knower. QURAN[7:200]

Verily, those who are Al-Muttaqun (the pious), when an evil thought comes to them from Shaitan (Satan), they remember (Allah), and (indeed) they then see (aright). QURAN[7:201]

2) Dear sister, The only thing that can take you out of or take you far far away from your obsession is the constant remembrance and obidance of allah.

Allah says in the glorious quran:
Nay! Whoever submits his whole self to Allah and is a doer of good he will get his reward with his Lord; on such shall be no fear nor shall they grieve. Quran [2:112]

Verily those who say "Our Lord is Allah" and remain firm (on that Path) on them shall be no fear nor shall they grieve. Quran [46:13]

Ibn al-Qayyim - rahimahullâh - said:
“There is no doubt that the heart becomes covered with rust, just as metal dishes - silver, and their like - become rusty. So the rust of the heart is polished with dhikr (remembrance of Allâh), for dhikr polishes the heart until it becomes like a shiny mirror. However, when dhikr is abandoned, the rust returns; and when it commences then the heart again begins to be cleansed. Thus the heart becoming rusty is due to two matters: sins and ghaflah(neglecting remembrance of Allâh). Likewise, it is cleansed and polished by two things: istigfâr (seeking Allâh’s forgiveness) and dhikr.”

3) Dear sister know that the contentment to the heart or sole or mind can only be achieved through the rememberance of Allah.

Allah says in the glorious quran:
The people who have accepted (the Message), their hearts find comfort in the remembrance of Allah. Note it well!, that it is Allah's Remembrance Alone that brings contentment to the hearts! Blessed are those who have accepted the Message and done righteous deeds. They will have a good end. Quran[13:28-29]

4) Be consistent in your supplications for Supplication is from the most beneficial types of healing, it is the enemy of illness and affliction repressing it and treating it, preventing its occurrence, removing it or at least alleviating it. It is the weapon of the believer.

Thus if one is facing the problem of having evil thoughts, and if one follows the above guidance, inshallah shaitan will not be able to insert evil thoughts into one’s mind.

Dear sister, once you start following the specified advice, you will surely be far away from your obsession. Your will power will get strengthened, your addiction will decrease, you will feel more satisfied.

In conclusion: the more you remember Allah, the more you will be safe from the evil of shaitan. We pray to Allah to strengthen your Eeman and keep you in good health. And Allah alone knows the best.

I ask Allah to make this a sincere effort, seeking his pleasure, and I ask him to grant us refuge in him from the evils within ourselves, and that in our deeds. I ask him to grant us success in achieving whatever pleases him; And May Allah Shower His blessings and mercy upon our beloved Prophet Muhammad (pbuh), his family and his Companions and on all those who follow him until the final hour.
