Is it permissible to drink water in standing position?

We begin with Allah’s blessed name, we praise him and we glorify him, seek his forgiveness and ask him to guide us. Whoever Allah guides, None can lead astray and whoever he misguides, None can guide. There is no power and no strength except from Allah, The most high, the Most great, the most powerful. We bear witness that there is no one worthy of worship but Allah Alone, and we bear witness that Prophet Muhammad (pbuh) is His slave-servant and the seal of His Messengers. We pray for peace and blessings on all the noble messengers and in particular on the last of them all “the blessed prophet Mohammad (pbuh)”
Narrated Anas ibn Malik:
The Prophet (peace_be_upon_him) forbade that a man should drink while standing.
ABU_DAWOOD[Book:26, Hadith:3708]
Anas reported Allah's Apostle (may peace be upon him) disapproved the drinking of water while standing.
SAHIH MUSLIM[Book:23, Hadith:5017]
Abu Sa'id Khudri reported that Allah's Messenger (may peace be upon him) warned against drinking while standing.
SAHIH MUSLIM[Book:23, Hadith:5020]
Thus from the above guidance of our beloved prophet Mohammad (pbuh), a believer should always prefer to drink in sitting position, but if a believer, due to what ever reasons drinks in standing position, then there is no harm, it is proved in the narrations mentioned below that our beloved prophet Mohammad(pbuh) sometimes drink in standing position.
Narrated by Abdullah ibn Amr ibn al-'As
Abdullah ibn Amr (r.a.) said he saw the Prophet (saws) drinking water while standing as well as while sitting.
AL-TIRMIDHI[ Hadith:770]
Narrated An-Nazzal:
All came to the gate of the courtyard (of the Mosque) and drank (water) while he was standing and said, "Some people dislike to drink while standing, but I saw the Prophet doing (drinking water) as you have seen me doing now."

Thus In normal circumstances, the Sunnah is that the believers should drink while in a seated position and if a believer due to the fear of impurity or due to any other reason drinks in standing position then there is absolutely no harm.
And Allah alone knows the best.
I ask Allah to make this a sincere effort, seeking his pleasure, and I ask him to grant us refuge in him from the evils within ourselves, and that in our deeds. I ask him to grant us success in achieving whatever pleases him; And May Allah Shower His blessings and mercy upon our beloved Prophet
Muhammad (pbuh), his family and his Companions and on all those who follow him until the final hour.
